Baldock Town Twinning

Baldock has been exchanging visits with our twin town partners for decades: Eisenberg in Germany since 1988, and since 1998 with Sanvignes (France).  Both towns have been twinned together since 1970, showing how such links endure.

 

The Association is run and funded by the Baldock community and we welcome all those who share our aims of building international understanding and cooperation.

 

In these memorial years of the major destruction of communities in W. Europe, such work is ever more important.

 

Language is never a barrier, and lasting friendships have been forged over the years. Indeed, these exchanges are a wonderful way of learning about different cultures and languages, especially for young people.

 

All this is funded by membership subscriptions and fund-raising events.
